Villa Agnona takes its name from the namesake village in which is located, part of the municipality of Borgosesia. The small village of historical importance because of the passage of the Napoleonic troops, is characterized by the narrow cobbled streets and the stone bridge that connects it with the rest of the city.
Villa Agnona is a classic nineteenth-century Valsesiana home with an arched facade and a lavish roof garden, with floral pergolas of wisteria and roses, maples, and local herbs. A circular stone fountain decorates the green space.
The historic residence was purchased and restored in the 50s by textile entrepreneur Francesco Ilorini Mo, who has lived in it with his family since 1953. Founder of Lanerie Agnona was called the craftsman of the textile industry for being able to infuse art and the colours of nature into the production of cashmere or wool or alpaca fabrics and Haute couture.
Villa Agnona has been completely renovated in 2023 and turned into a charming hospitality by combining the soul of the historic residence with the most current design. The charm of the past, which takes shape in some selected family objects and in the black and white portraits of the ancestors, is intertwined with the functional modernity of the furniture, to offer a unique stay and comfort.
The tranquility of the garden and the surrounding nature make Villa Agnona an oasis of pleasantness and relaxation.
